Very Brief History

Our CEO, a tall teacher, was tired of the usual run-of-the-mill ties—the stripes, the repeated patterns, the solid, bland colors.

Surrounded by wonderful art created by his students, he wished he could wear ties with all that creativity and color.

Then one day, as he shared his wish with his wife and son, they said, "Let's figure out how to make it happen."

And so began Artful Expression the home of unique, colorful ties and scarves designed by artists like you.

Our Mission
Artful Expression creates unique, wearable and usable items from original artwork. We encourage children and adults to explore their artistic potential. We spark creative connections between children, their families, and their communities. We dare to believe that each person is an artist.

What We Do
Artful Expression is dedicated to promoting a sense of pride and accomplishment through artful expression. What better way to do this than with a child's original art beautifully displayed on a tie or scarf? The child provides the artwork, and our designers turn it into a colorful, functional, one-of-a-kind silk masterpiece. A perfect gift for Dad, Mom, uncles, aunts, grandparents. A perfect way to nurture a child’s self-esteem and encourage the fledging artist.

With businesses and organizations, we create customized products that artfully display the company logo or special theme in a new way. With galleries, museums, and theaters, we design items featuring art from their current exhibits and productions, to expand their outreach to the community.
